We had such a lovely time. The breakfasts were generous and excellent, with authentic products, and the hospitality was just as good. Danilo and his girlfriend deserve congratulations. The property is new, comfortable, and right in central Matera, a few steps from the Sassi.
It’s a small, recently built B&B run by a family, in a handy spot in central Matera. Our room and bathroom had the essentials covered, including a fridge, TV, air conditioning, and WiFi. The one small drawback was that our room had no window, just a skylight. In warm weather, breakfast is served on the terrace. It was nicely prepared, and the owners make some delicious desserts themselves. There’s secure parking in the underground garage next door.
The owner was very friendly, and the place felt welcoming and well kept. It’s just a few steps from the center and the famous Sassi. If you’re staying in Matera, it’s an ideal place to book.
I’ve been returning for years and recommend it highly. It’s elegant, clean, and discreet, with free Wi-Fi and parking available. The location is central, just a stone’s throw from the Sassi, and Danilo is quick to help when needed.
The B&B is tastefully furnished and very clean, and it’s close to the center. Danilo is extremely kind and helpful. You can leave your car in the blue parking spaces nearby for a very low price.
