They already have water, tea, coffee, milk, and a few treats waiting when you arrive, and if you're travelling through and need laundry done, just ask and pay fairly for using it. The owners are a hardworking, honest couple who really try to make your stay memorable. The villa has a lovely standard of living, loads of kitchen equipment, outdoor spaces, a big garden, and a pool. The listing may make the pool seem private. It belongs to the villa, but there are also two apartments and a studio rented out, so you may share it with other guests. That wouldn't put me off booking again. It's a great place to fly to from abroad. Take their advice for visiting Matera, and you'll get your money's worth. Wishing the owners and their kids all the best.

A car is essential since the villa is fairly remote, though Matera is just a short drive away. It's a wonderful place for a big family group, with everything you need for a spectacular holiday.

The hostess was very friendly and helpful, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We had one of the three lovely apartments on a quiet property about a 10-minute drive from Matera, with secure parking behind the large grounds. It worked perfectly for us.

We were very well looked after by the kind, friendly landlady. The apartment was spotless, attractive, spacious, and well equipped, with easy access and a good location for Matera and the area around it. The price for what you get is very good.
