Residence Neuhauslhof

We spent a week in apartment number 8 at Neuhäuslhof, and the West balcony was a real highlight, with its sweeping views and lovely sunsets. The apartment was spotless and thoughtfully equipped. The pull-out sofa was comfortable enough to count as a proper bed, and the bedroom was quiet and restful, with high-quality mattresses and linens. The shutters darkened the rooms well and kept them cool even on hot days. At the edge of Meran, the setting offers a nice mix of calm and easy access. There are wonderful views across the Meraner Land, and it’s easy to get to Meran, Schenna, and other destinations on foot or by bus. The family who runs Neuhäuslhof clearly cares about the place and welcomed us warmly. The well-kept pool area worked well for swimming and family fun, with plenty of loungers and umbrellas and no scramble for space. The hosts also gave thoughtful tips. We’re already planning another visit. Highly recommended.

The heated pool among the apple trees was a treat, and the hostesses were welcoming and happy to answer questions. We booked apartment 10, which was spacious, quiet, well-equipped, and had its own steam infrared sauna, a two-sided balcony, and a lovely wide view over Merano. We liked it enough to extend our stay by a few days and move to apartment 6, which was just as good. We didn’t hear street noise in either place. Restaurants are within walking distance, and the small town center, with its supermarket, bakery, and butcher, is about 10 minutes away. It feels more down-to-earth than Merano. Walking to Merano takes around 25 minutes along narrow lanes past beautiful properties; the return is about 35 minutes because of roughly 70 meters of uphill elevation. The bus is an option, and the ticket is included with the guest card. We didn’t need the car at all. A forest trail starts nearby too. The farm shop is a great idea, and breakfast and snack supplies are available. Some items can even be ordered through the guest portal before arrival.

We stayed at Residence Neuhäuslhof for a few days over Christmas 2025 and hope to come back next time we’re in Merano. It suited us perfectly. The bus stop for the city center is just a five-minute walk away. Our apartment was quiet, spotless, and well equipped, with a large sunny balcony overlooking the valley, mountains, and the farm’s apple and grape orchards. There’s a farm shop in the building with lots of tasty products, and you can order fresh breakfast rolls the day before. The host family was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful whenever we had questions.

Big rooms, spotless throughout, and a great location. The hosts were excellent and always had helpful tips. Already looking forward to our next stay at Neuhäuslhof.
