Set among wooded grounds with mountain views, this family-run hotel is less than a 20-minute walk from the center. The staff were warm and helpful, and the bright restaurant and bar serve a good-quality breakfast buffet. The pool was well kept, and our room was modern, clean, and quiet, though it had neither air conditioning nor a minibar. Good value for money. We’ll certainly come back.

We had a first-floor room, facing southwest, and the balcony looked out toward the mountains and orchids. The bed was nicely firm without being hard, and the outdoor pool was very nice. I couldn’t give it five stars because the bathroom smelled moldy, as did the entrance by the bathroom. There’s no door on the shower, so water can spray out if you’re not careful, and there’s no small fridge in the room. In late September, apple harvest tractors can also make it noisy.

The hotel team were great and always happy to offer excursion tips. I also loved walking into the city center past the old, large trees and classic maisonettes.

It’s on the edge of town, so having a car is ideal. The place is quiet, very clean, and has excellent food and drink, plus a good outdoor pool. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the owner and staff are excellent and very friendly. On foot, it’s a pleasant 15-minute walk to town, then another 10-15 minutes to the station.
