Villa Tivoli's restaurant was so good that we ate dinner there more than once. Breakfast was full of delicious things too, and Rudi greeted us there. From the welcome at check-in to recommendations for wine, walks, hikes, and gardens, the service was excellent. Rudi gave us maps and directions and made sure we had whatever we needed. He even mailed me an important item I'd forgotten, which was above and beyond. Our rooms were fantastic, with beautiful views of Merano below. I could give the hotel 10 stars if I could. Villa Tivoli is unique, and I highly recommend staying there.

We'd only planned one night, then decided to add another. The owners were lovely, and so were the rooms, food, and especially breakfast. There are indoor and outdoor pools, art, amazing plants in the conservatory, and quirky spots to sit outside. It's the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. We'll be back.

The owners, the Defranceschi-Steiner family, are involved in the daily running of Hotel Villa Tivoli, from reception to the restaurant, and they really make the place special. The restaurant serves a wide selection of delicious dinners, while breakfast has a superb and unusually broad spread of breads, cheeses, vegetables, porridges, spreads, and jams. The two pools are a delight, one by the mountain on the 5th floor with a spectacular view, and the other on the ground floor. Rooms are spacious and well kept. There are pleasant walks and hiking paths from the hotel or nearby, including the famous Tappeinerweg. It's in a peaceful spot just outside Meran, with a nice view over the orchards and about a 20 minutes walk from the center. We had a perfect stay and will definitely return next time we're in Meran.

The food was good, breakfast too, and even the cakes were homemade, which was a refreshing touch. It's a family-run place, and the folks went out of their way to help us. There are indoor and outdoor pools, and the hotel is a brisk walk from town if that's what you want. We brought our bikes, which worked out great: it was a 5-minute ride into town, with lots of bars and restaurants there. The location suited us, just on the edge of town with bike rides in every direction. This was our first stay and it was really amazing. If you're visiting this area, I truly recommend it. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for making our stay memorable. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

The people were so friendly and helped with everything. Breakfast was among the best, with local products and homemade pie, which I loved. Such a good hotel and top-level service. Thank you, and I'm so happy the sun always shines in Merano.
