Le Stanze di Piazza Cairoli

We only stayed one night, which is my one regret. The owner was waiting outside the building when we arrived, even though we hadn't given an exact arrival time. A 10 for that. The room, service, and view were all wonderful, and the train station is close by. We'll definitely return, since there's still a lot of Sicily we want to see.

The bathroom was the worst part of this apartment. The shower is in disgusting condition, with mold everywhere, a bad smell, and a door that doesn't shut properly, so it leaks. The building is old but nicely decorated with modern furniture. The location is convenient, less than a 10-minute walk from the central station, near the harbor and main tourist spots. Check-in was easy and didn't require a key. The room is cleaned daily, is a good size, and has comfortable beds, fresh linen and towels, slippers, and soap. The air conditioning works well. There's a coffee machine with coffee, though only two paper cups. Be aware there's no elevator, and it's 54 steps up or down each time.

Everything was clean and comfortable, and the room lighting was nice. Netflix is included on the TV, and the train station is just a very short walk away. Really happy with the stay.

We had a very nice triple room, clean and everything worked. It's in a pleasant area with lots of shops and bars, and works well if you're taking the train from the main station or catching a ferry. Late arrival was easy with the door code. Carlo (Owner) was friendly, and communicating in English went smoothly.
