Country House Country Club

The food was incredible, all homemade, and the husband, who’s the chef, clearly took pride in making sure everyone was happy with it. The husband and wife run the place with one employee, so it’s a small operation, but the service was excellent. The room is dated, though that adds to its charm, and it was spotless. It’s peaceful and secluded, while still very convenient for the airport. I’m so glad I found this hidden gem on my way home from a business trip.

A lovely country house in the countryside just beyond Venice.

We really enjoyed unwinding by the pool after a hot day touring Murano, especially with a cold beer from the pool bar. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast had a great selection of breads and croissants. We also had dinner at the property, which was a fantastic homemade meal. Rosa and her husband made for an excellent stay. They offer a private boat to Murano or Venice, and we only wish we’d taken them up on it.

The staff were a little nice at first, but once we got into the hotel, it felt like a nightmare. The room was awful and full of mosquitoes, and there was no light in the hall. It seemed extremely old, like it had been built in the 19s. My family and I wanted to leave straight away. When we got to the parking area, the gate was shut like a prison gate, though the lady opened it. Outside, it was really dark. The hotel looks dark, prison-like, and scary in the pictures too.
