Martina really makes this place special. She’s easy to reach if you need anything, and her breakfasts were a lovely change from the usual B&B fare. The price feels amazing for what you get, and I’d recommend Lux Aurea if you want your Italian trip to feel a little more authentic and surreal. You can’t tell much from Google Maps or Google Street View, but behind the gates is a mansion where the family has lived for generations. Their shipbuilding ancestors had it built before engine-powered ships existed. Guests are now invited to share this wonderful old home. Walking up the steps and through the garden, with its different fruit trees, felt like stepping back in time.

The rooms are peaceful, tucked away from the city noise, and the people here are fantastic. The views are wonderful too. It’s very close to Meta metro, train, and bus stations, with easy trips to the beaches, Amalfi, Sorrento, and other coastal towns. Highly recommend.

Martina is a warm, attentive host, and breakfast was fresh with something different each day. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. The property is close to Meta train station, just three stops from Sorrento. Really good value for a five-star level of service and stay.

The location is excellent, near the train station and bus stops, which makes a big difference. Martina was always there to help us and even sorted out taxis, buses, and good restaurants. Her kindness and availability were a big part of making the trip work so well. Lux Aurea is a beautiful old house with large rooms, clean comfortable sheets, and an impeccable breakfast.
