Podere Castagnè

The apartment had everything we needed, and the air conditioning worked perfectly without making much noise. We loved the romantic view and the setting. Had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back!

We planned on staying just two days, but after the first night we changed our plans and added another. We still wished we could have stayed longer, and next time we’re aiming for more than three days. The views were beautiful, the rooms were clean, fresh, and nicely prepared, with flowers and even great-smelling towels. The team was friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. The food, wine, and olive oil were hard to put into words. We also got to experience a short but intense summer storm at night, full of lightning and thunder. By morning, you could hardly tell it had rained. A great place, and we’ll be back.

Up on a hill, the place has a fantastic setting. The apartment was bright and modern, with a handy little kitchenette and a balcony with a sunshade. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a spacious walk-in shower.

The property itself is beautiful, but the management was probably the worst I’ve experienced. After a long trip, we arrived around 11:30 PM. Self check-in should have made that fine, but our room was in awful shape: dead bugs on the floor, no bed linens, a dirty bathroom, and dishes that hadn’t been washed. We finally reached management at midnight. We checked the other rooms too, and they were in the same condition. At 1:30 AM, we were told to make do. They didn’t find us somewhere else to stay, then stopped answering our calls. When we tried to get a refund, the owner disappeared. We only got our money back through the booking company. Rating: 0. Scammer.
