The location works well for short and medium hikes through the undergrowth. Getting there can be tricky because the roads are narrow and rough, though they’re paved throughout. That’s better than the nearby Rifugio Vaderna, where many stretches are unpaved and rocky. Prices may be a little high for the food and service quality.

After hiking the Giant Fir Tree Trail, which I highly recommend, we stopped here for lunch. The minestrone was delicious, the Trentino-style cod was amazing, and the traditional polenta with sausage was fantastic. High-quality ingredients, and the service was friendly, courteous, and quick. I recommend this place.

You can get to this convenient refuge by car. The traditional food is excellent, especially the homemade pasta dishes. Nicely done.

After a day walking through beautiful places, I finished with dumplings in broth in this quaint setting. I was completely satisfied. The staff were friendly and service was fast. A great experience, highly recommended.
