The only thing I liked was the location, near the main shopping streets. The rest of the stay was terrible, with really poor service, and I wouldn’t recommend this apartment. The apartment is on a busy street, and noise from the café and restaurant downstairs kept me awake all night. The room also smelled strongly of smoke, which made it impossible to sleep. We booked for two adults and a child, but there was no thought given to the child’s needs. I had to call to ask for a baby bed. When it arrived, they’d put a pillow from the bed into the cot, so I was left without one to sleep on. There was nobody to meet us when we arrived, no reception or check-in desk, and no staff to explain how things worked. Everything is digital, and communication is through WhatsApp with someone available only from 8 AM to 8 PM. If anything goes wrong after 8 PM, there’s nobody to help, which left us completely on our own. We also asked for help with the Area C / ZTL permit so we could drive into the city center. All we got was a link in Italian and were left to work it out ourselves. We only found out later that the permit wasn’t even needed on the weekend. They could easily have told us that.

The room itself was good, but for what it cost, having just one mirror wasn’t enough. Communication through WhatsApp felt disorganized. In the evening I messaged because the door wouldn’t close. I explained that it wasn’t working, but he just told me how to close it, so we were stuck with an unlocked door all evening. The luggage arrangement was the worst part. At check-in I asked if we could leave our bags after checking out in the morning, and they said it wouldn’t be a problem. At checkout, they told us we could keep them in our room until noon, but after that it would cost 10 euros per hour. Asking for more money after we’d paid over 200 euros for the room is RIDICULOUS. I do NOT recommend it!

Nice area and close to the Duomo, with parking available. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and had a full kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful. Despite what some comments said, they weren’t racist at all.

Riccardo, our host, was attentive and on time, and the location was amazing. The room’s soundproofing could be better, but I still got a good night’s sleep. I’d definitely book here again.
