ALTIDO the lounge balcony

The garden was a nice place to hang out during the day or sometimes at night, and there were squirrels around. My three-month work stay in Milan had a mix of good and bad points. My main frustration in the room was having nowhere proper to work, since there was no office desk. The room itself was pleasant, though small, and mostly had what I needed. The bed wasn’t very comfortable for me. I also found the kitchen-in-a-drawer setup cramped and awkward to use. Things felt scattered everywhere. The cutlery was passable, but the large knife I had was awful and wouldn’t cut properly. The bathroom was otherwise fine, but mine got very cold in winter because the window didn’t seem to shut properly. Pipes also made an unpleasant noise when someone in another room flushed. That didn’t bother me much, but it’s something to be aware of. I never knew when housekeeping would happen. I was given a schedule, but it kept changing, and there were weeks when my towels weren’t replaced and the rubbish wasn’t taken out. When staff did come, they were nice to talk to and did the job fine. I had a minor disagreement with the manager too, and they handled the issue professionally and without fuss. I appreciated how well they resolved it. I don’t see why laundry costs extra when the rooms are already quite expensive. Each wash was 5e, which I wasn’t happy about. The place could be a hit or miss depending on what you need, and there are definitely things to improve.
