Breakfast was brought promptly to the door the next morning after we wrote down what we wanted and when on a little sheet at reception. Coffee, pastries, yoghurt, and fresh juice on the balcony in the sunshine made for a lovely start to the day. The shower was hot straight away, and the bathroom was dated in a charming way that's hard to find now. The room was bright and clean, with a very comfortable bed and fresh linens. Its long windows opened onto a plant-covered balcony with climbing Jasmin, overlooking a quiet cobbled street. The old building has lovely wooden doors and floors and stone stairs, and hasn't been overdone. There's a peaceful, comforting feel to the place. Its simplicity, good quality, and thoughtful service feel more luxurious than anything complicated or over the top. There's just a regular key for the bedroom, no key cards or QR codes. It's a wonderful little gem, close to restaurants, galleries, museums, shops, and quiet cobbled lanes. The entrance is discreetly to the right of a lovely looking restaurant of the same name, but it's easy enough to find. I loved my stay and would come again.

The street-facing room was quiet, and the balcony was cute. The rooms are adorable, the staff helpful, and the location great. I loved staying here and only wish I could have stayed more than one night.

The pork was dry and overcooked, and the food overall was blah. The price was way too high for what we got. The waiter was rude and kept pressing me to leave a gratuity on top of an already huge bill. He wouldn't let me take the bill to look at it. I think he charged us for four meals instead of three, but he kept misunderstanding my question about it. Avoid this place at all costs!

We never even got to stay because THE HOTEL cancelled our booking without giving a reason, leaving us without accommodation in the area we wanted. Maybe they wanted to charge 2023 prices, since we booked in 2022. Beware: even after you think you have a room at this hotel, they may change their mind.

The bed was good and the room was clean, and the man working there in the afternoon was very helpful. But at this price I expected more. Breakfast is brought to the room, though there are only a few things to choose from, and nobody is at reception in the morning. If your room faces the street, the noise is terrible. I couldn't sleep even with earplugs.
