B&B Via Fontana Milano

A nearby parking garage offered us a special rate through the B&B. Ludovico was very attentive and made getting in quick and uncomplicated. The room was spacious and very clean, and the quiet AC worked properly. We had a coffeemaker and capsules for each day, plus sweets, water and vouchers for a nearby Café for coffee, fresh orange juice and a croissant at breakfast. This is the perfect place for a visit to Milano. If we come back, we’d stay here again. Thank you, Ludovico.

The accommodation is basic, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. It felt very secure, in a building that also houses attorneys' offices and a medical clinic. Ludovico was very helpful with check-in and directions from the airport to the B&B.

The host’s reply when we struggled with the door was sarcastic. He kept saying, “turn the key like you would any other door at home,” as if we didn’t know how to open one. It turned out he had sent us to the wrong room, and we were there for about five minutes. Thankfully nobody else was in it, as that could have been concerning for those guests. We booked because this was described as a B&B with breakfast at a nearby café. The café was closed for the holidays, which is understandable, but the host left us panettone that was 15 days past its date, so we didn’t want to eat it. There was also coffee and juice, and one packet of biscuits for both of us over two days, which didn’t feel sufficient. After checkout, I told the host we’d left the key where requested and shared some feedback: guests should be checked into the right rooms, and breakfast should be in date. He replied rudely and manipulatively, saying he “hopes our psychological damage isn't too serious.” That was completely unacceptable when we were trying to offer feedback for future guests.

We only had one night at this beautiful B&B, and I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Ludovico was friendly and helpful from the start, and easy to reach. Our room was perfect, clean and comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. The hosts even let us leave our luggage until late after checkout and helped us out when they saw our train wasn’t until 11pm. Easily the best accommodation experience we’ve had on our travels through Europe.
