BePlace Apartments in San Babila

The elevator could use an upgrade.

I'd stayed in Beplace apartments three times before without any real trouble, apart from one door handle that came off in my hand. This stay was a complete mess. Check-in at 2:30 PM went smoothly. Simone was kind and suggested logging out of my Netflix or Prime account for privacy. Ten minutes after he left, I noticed the TV remote was missing and called Beplace. They said it had already been reported missing by the previous guest, and that they'd bring one over after checking in some neighbors. By 5:00 PM nobody had come or answered my call. I tried from another number and got through straight away. They said someone would bring it. I went to the supermarket downstairs at 5:30 PM. When I got back at 5:50, the door was open. I called and learned they hadn't told me the lock wasn't working properly. You have to swipe the key to lock it. I'd left everything on the coffee table, so I was upset. They apologized, saying they had dozens of apartments and couldn't remember everything. They also said the remote would arrive soon. About half an hour later, a young man came by without a remote, but confirmed it was missing. He took some details from the TV and went to find one. I can't remember when he returned, but I'd already had dinner. He brought a generic remote and tested the channels, which seemed to work. Later, when I tried Netflix and Prime, the TV said it wasn't connected to the internet and showed instructions that didn't match that remote. I gave up. I didn't call again, and they didn't call me either. A few minutes later, a party began with loud music. What a shame I couldn't charge them for that. For what I paid, I could certainly have found better places and more professional people. I had doubts about staying again, but expected at least a call or visit from kind Simone to apologize. I'd even tipped him €10. I later found out he's the agency manager. I'm so sad to leave. Nobody deserves this treatment for more than €200 a day. I didn't deserve it.
