Brasil Milan

We were used to climbing stairs by this point in the trip, so getting up what felt like endless flights wasn't a big deal. There is a lift, but only two people fit. We had two rooms for five, and the beds and bathrooms were clean and tidy. Nothing fancy, just a pleasant place to sleep. The rooms could get pretty hot overnight, and there wasn't any free breakfast, despite what the website said.

I was nervous after reading the reviews, since my son had booked it for us, but it turned out to be lovely for a one-star hotel. The room was clean and spacious, with a shower room. The lift was pretty funny, and a little scary. There was traffic noise, but it's the city centre.

The staff were really friendly and helped with whatever I asked. For the price in Milano, especially if you're travelling on a budget, this is a very good choice. It's about 2.5 km from Milano Centrale train station, in a quaint neighbourhood with bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. My room was small but cosy, with a bathroom and TV. A little sewage backup cleared after I ran the tap for a few seconds. People came and went at all hours, and I could hear everything through the walls.

The employees were nice and respectful, and the location is good if you want to explore the city on foot, though it's a bit far from the tourist spots. The room, unfortunately, was in really poor condition and dirty. As bad as it sounds, I'm almost certain there might be bed bugs.
