The staff were really friendly and the place was fairly clean, which is why I’m giving it an extra star. The apartments themselves weren’t good. Rooms are tiny, and the in-room facilities are awful: the stove stopped working on our second night, the kettle didn’t work at all, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping so we had to reconnect repeatedly. The shower was the worst part. Move an inch one way and the water turns icy, move an inch the other and it feels scalding. The door wouldn’t close, and the shower head was broken.

They cancelled my booking with just two hours’ notice and wouldn’t refund me, so I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I could barely get through on the phone number they provided, which I’m fairly sure was random. Don’t be fooled by the price or photos. Staying on the Metro beside someone who hasn’t been able to shower in a month would be more worthwhile, and I’m sure you’d get more than a few words from them, which is more than I can say for the 'Cardonia Cartel'.

A bargain at £100 a night, once you add the €20 cleaning fee. The room didn’t look like the pictures. It was dirty, the bathroom flooded, the mattress was on a pallet on the floor, and there wasn’t enough cutlery. No kettle, AC, tea or coffee, or good Wi-Fi. The listing said there’d be free laundry, an iPod station, breakfast, and a bar, but none of those were there. The staff were rude, offensive, unsympathetic, and ignorant.

Mattia made the check-in instructions easy to follow, and the suites are laid out nicely in a minimalist style. They’re in a really good part of Milan’s tourist district. Thank you.

Close to the Duomo Cathedral, these are sweet little suites. They’re cramped, but the price is very low and worth it. I’d come back if I return to Milan. You’re getting a good deal.
