Château Monfort

The underground spa was beautiful and private, and the breakfast was just right, with lots of choice and super attentive staff. I booked Chateau Monfort because of its complimentary underground spa, after loving a similar one at a hotel in Rome. I’d been looking for another ever since. I was wary of the whimsical look when booking, but when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by how well it was done. Our room was spacious, with high ceilings and a well-designed bathroom. Turn-down service was a lovely touch, as I hadn’t had it at a hotel in a while. The dining room might be my favorite, it’s so whimsical. At checkout, the front desk staff member went through the bill and pointed out a tip line that goes directly to all the service staff. It wasn’t compulsory, and he said he could remove it if I wanted. I’d read complaints about it before booking, so I knew about it. The stay was so perfect, and the staff were so great, that I was happy to leave a tip for everyone since I hadn’t tipped individually. We had a perfect stay and hope to return.

The location made exploring the city easy, while the hotel itself felt so peaceful that we honestly didn’t want to leave. My husband and I stayed at Château Monfort for three days, and it was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was wonderful for both of us and our dog, who was given a thoughtful special gift. The food was delicious, and every meal felt like a treat. We also made full use of the spa and had an incredibly relaxing massage with Claudia, one of the highlights of our visit. Everyone was warm, attentive and genuinely kind, from the front desk to the bartender and the bellman. We can’t wait to come back.

Breakfast was good quality and had plenty of choice, so it felt worth the price. The rooms were spotless and neatly arranged, and the staff were genuinely friendly and did their best to help whenever we needed something. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend it.

The calm atmosphere is a big part of why we keep coming back to Chateau Monfort. It’s close to downtown and nearby sightseeing, so it works well for both work and leisure, yet still feels quiet and relaxed. Inside, the spacious, luxurious rooms had everything we needed and more, and the stay felt worth the money. From the moment you arrive, the staff are warm and ready to help. They make guests feel like a priority throughout, and the service has always been exceptional. It really feels like a home away from home for us, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We recommend it to anyone visiting Milan.
