The bed was too hard, and the tap water was yellow. We also found the room terribly cold during our one-night stay at the beginning of January. The heating was on but barely worked, and the only blanket was so small it couldn’t cover the double bed. We both had a terrible experience. Stay away!

The place was clean and neat, and what we got matched what was promised. It’s great value in Milan, with the tram about a two-minute walk away and the metro around ten minutes on foot. Late self check-in went smoothly, and communication with the hosts was good. Even though the bed folds up, we slept well. No real issues with the place. Thanks, team.

The apartment was clean and tidy, with everything needed for a short stay, and there’s a market nearby. We appreciated being allowed to stay a little longer and leave our suitcase in the storage room. That was very convenient. But there were lots of ants in the room, and nobody replied to my email about them. Before check-in, the room door was open with no one at reception, and the main door to the stairwell often wouldn’t shut. We didn’t feel completely safe. On the first night, we heard strange noises, as if someone might be trying to get into the building. The tap water smelled musty, and the toilet lid was very dirty and yellow.

Cirene Apartments are surrounded by more upmarket, sophisticated cafes and restaurants, and the apartments have what you need at a good price. This part of Milan lets you get away from the tourist-area chaos. The No. 16 tram takes you to the Duomo and the center, then you can come back for some peace and quiet.

We had everything we needed for a great family stay in Milan. The location was great, and we’d stay again.
