The room was warm and comfortable when we stayed in December, and the bedding was really clean and nice. They changed it every day unless you asked them not to. The room had everything we needed, and I felt very comfortable. The hotel was super clean, the staff were so friendly, and there was a nice smell, especially in the lobby. Paul was really comfortable. I'd go back again.
We had a wonderful time in the spa area, and the beds were comfy, with bathrooms that were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and had plenty of variety. It's easy to get reliable public transport to all parts of the city, and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. Highly recommend!
The breakfast was impressive, the food was great, and the service team were kind and attentive. The chef was crowded by hungry people at his station, though I realized they weren't placing custom orders. I had yogurt and a latte while I waited for things to clear, and that worked out fine. Still, I left after one night, before my reservation ended. I had the worst sleep on an extremely hard bed, and woke up in pain. I kept thinking the floor might be more comfortable. The pillows felt like rocks too. I asked for a soft one, but the replacement was lumpy and uncomfortable. The room had a train running nonstop right outside the window. The hotel is dated and run down now, though you can tell it must have been beautiful in its day. There was black stuff in the shower seams, and I couldn't tell if it was rot or mold. The bathroom sink had a hole by the faucet where it looked like the marble had broken, and it wasn't sealed. All the staff were kind and professional, but the place is past its prime. I gave up the money I'd paid to Enterprise Hotel to move to an Airbnb, which was a lifesaver. P.S. A travel agent booked this for me, and unfortunately I paid in advance. Next time I'll book trips myself. Looking at the reviews would have shown me this wasn't the right accommodation for me. Lesson learned!
The spa was a nice bonus with the Executive room, especially the sauna, jacuzzi, heated benches and tea. We also liked the quiet, spacious room and the helpful staff, who tried to sort out our bedding. We booked three nights in October at the Enterprise Hotel, and getting into town was easy on trams 1 and 19. The room had the amenities we needed, including a coffee machine, minibar, safe, TV, bathtub and toiletries, and the lobby sweets were a fun touch for adults and kids. The bed was hard for us, and the two pillows on each side felt very hard too. They changed the double duvet to two singles, which we appreciated, and found us softer pillows, though we missed having a choice of pillow firmness. Maybe we need more comfort now that we're 50+, or perhaps the beds are just hard. We didn't sleep that well, but managed well enough to enjoy the sunny days out. We skipped breakfast, so can't comment on it. We were quite happy overall and would probably bring our own pillow next time.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, and several tram stops are just a few minutes from the entrance. The ride to the center takes about 20 minutes, though the hotel itself is a little farther out. After a busy day, it was a relaxing place to come back to. The staff were warm and welcoming, and our room was spotless, with firm but comfortable beds. Breakfast seemed a little overpriced for what we personally ate. Gorgeous hotel!
