The sleeping setup was already wrong when we arrived: we had booked three singles and a double, but found only two singles and the double. The listing talks about four sleeping places, though those aren’t necessarily four separate beds. If we’d known, we would’ve booked somewhere else. Getting to the studio was a struggle with a baby, two children, and four suitcases. We took the lift to the fourth floor, walked through fancy corridors, then used a door and went down five stair landings to what felt like the basement, near storage cupboards full of cleaning gear. That’s a lot more than the few steps over two floors described by the hotel. Inside, there were no windows looking outdoors, just inner walls and pipes, and barely any daylight. The entrance and bathroom also smelled like sewage. It might do for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. The air conditioner on the right of the double bed was faulty. It rattled loudly all night and kept blowing cold air. We tried the controls and read the instructions, but couldn’t turn it off or lower it. There’s no parking at the hotel. We were pointed to a nearby garage that charged €68 for one night. We found Borromeo Parking, a large underground garage 5-10 minutes away on foot, and paid €39 for the night and the next morning.
