Hotel Arno

The room was much smaller than I expected, with no view, and the showers were extremely cramped. They advertised Wi-Fi, but there wasn’t any. Other guests ran and made noise in the hall all night, and staff did nothing. The elevator was often out of order, so on arrival I had to carry all my luggage up four flights. The staff member on duty was rude and frustrated because I rang the bell several times, then shouted at me for leaving the elevator door open even though it wasn’t working. I also didn’t know there was a tourist tax and only had a bank card. When I asked to pay by card, the same staff member gave me grief.

The room got hot in the evening, especially since it faced south and there was no AC. Even with the fan, it was hard to air out. Trains passing by were really loud too. I sleep heavily, so it didn’t bother me much, but my friend struggled to sleep. Still, for what we paid, I thought it was a fair deal. The location is excellent, just 5-10 minutes on foot from the train station. The receptionist was really nice, we had our own bathroom, and everything was decently clean. I’d recommend it.

The rooms and bathrooms are very basic, and I didn’t have a bathroom of my own. Still, for one person or a couple watching their budget, it’s a great place to rest. It has character and charm, and the price is very decent. Some things take a little getting used to, but it’s simple and gives you a nice experience. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but one star feels unfair.

It’s a simple place to sleep, with basic facilities in the room and outside it. Most things were clean, though a few spots could’ve been done better. I picked it mainly because it was a decent deal and about a 10-minute walk from the main train station. It was quiet during the day, but the tram starts running around 6am. The staff were good. The washing machine is for private use only, some rooms have their own sink, and the toilets are shared. It’s on the fourth floor, and the tiny elevator really is as claustrophobic as other reviews say.
