Hotel Bovisa House

The room was very small, uncomfortable, and unappealing. It was cold, and the blanket was too thin for cold weather. The bathroom was also extremely cold with no heat. Although I booked a room advertised with a private bathroom, I had to leave my room, go into the corridor, and unlock it with a key each time. This place is an apartment split into rooms, not a hotel. Everything felt old, fragile, and poorly maintained. Things break easily, and then guests may be asked to pay excessive amounts. There were very few wall sockets, and they felt fragile. Even using the heater in the room was forbidden without permission and an extra payment. We were charged a €200 penalty for damage we absolutely did not cause. The shower fixture broke during normal use because it was old, worn, and full of limescale. We have photos as evidence, but the establishment still forced us to pay and threatened to call the police. Their behavior was very unpleasant and completely unacceptable. Contrary to the property's reply, the €200 was fully paid, and we have proof of payment by receipt and bank evidence. It's incorrect to claim it wasn't paid. There was poor reception and bad faith, and the accommodation was uncomfortable and misleading. There's a real risk of being charged for damage you didn't cause. I strongly don't recommend it. If you want peace of mind while travelling, avoid this place. It would be better not to travel at all than to stay here. Run away.
