London Hotel

London Hotel Milan is beautifully styled and cozy, and the location is ideal, right downtown beside the Duomo. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a bathroom across the hallway. That setup wasn't perfect, but it worked out fine. A bathrobe and slippers would make the walk over more comfortable. The reception staff were all very kind, especially the Pakistani gentleman, whose name I unfortunately can't remember. He was so good at his job, he deserves a raise. Highly recommended!

Don't book here. My whole trip was cancelled because I got sick, so I had to cancel my reservation. I paid for a refundable room, but they wouldn't give my money back because even those rooms stop being refundable within 7 days of arrival, even when you're seriously ill. Book somewhere that cares about its customers instead.

At first, the receptionist was friendly with us and made small talk. I went shopping, and when I came back he was still pleasant. But later, when I asked him for the Wi-Fi, he suddenly seemed annoyed that my boyfriend and I had been sitting in reception for too long. He told us to leave while we waited for my sister, who was staying at the hotel, and threatened to call the police. I was shocked by how quickly his rude attitude escalated.

Room 303 was a quaint but very small space, 16m2 at most, and really only suited to a solo traveller. It didn't feel spacious, the shower was separate from the toilet, and the AC wouldn't work with the window open. You have to ask room service for water, as Italy doesn't provide it free. Be careful with cancellation terms too. I paid for four nights and stayed two, but through Booking.com that cost me about AUS $1800. It left me feeling that booking directly with a hotel and always asking for FREE Cancellation is the better approach.
