My single room was a decent size, and I liked the big, powerful hairdryer. It wasn't one of those cheap little ones. The hotel is clean, nicely renovated, and in a safe area outside the city center, close to the main train station. The only issue for me was the old-fashioned lock and key on the doors instead of a smart card.

The room was clean and had a balcony. Staff were nice, and the location was great, close to piola metro station. I highly recommend it.

I liked the comfortable bed and the great housekeeping. The room had a balcony, and the bathroom was well-equipped. Everything was very clean. It looks a little dated, more antique in style, but there are good restaurants nearby and two metro train stations about a seven-minute walk away. I enjoyed my three-night stay.

Breakfast was a highlight, especially having coffee brought over to us. We liked the balcony rooms, and the family-owned business is in a good part of Milan, well connected to the metro. We travelled from Liverpool, Uk, and the price was reasonable for a stay in Milan.

The staff were very nice, and the shower water got hot. My economy room was small, as expected, but it worked perfectly for my budget and was very clean. Hotel Montecarlo is close to plenty of shops and restaurants, as well as the Centrale train station. I had a great three-night stay. If I make it back to Milano, I'll definitely return to Montecarlo.
