Hotel Nettuno

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. As a travel agent, I can’t recommend it at all. There were even bedbugs. It was a very bad experience, not clean, and very old. Far too expensive for what they offer. It deserves zero stars, not one.

The little downside for me was having to leave my key whenever I went out. It felt a bit awkward, partly because I’m the sort of person who doesn’t want to bother people, even when that’s their job, so I didn’t come back often during the day ;) The room was small, just how I like it for a short trip, and very clean. It had everything I needed, including towels, soap, and shampoo. The wooden floor and air conditioning kept me from getting cold in winter :) The reception guys were friendly and there around the clock. The hotel is close to Central Station, which is easy to reach from the airport, but it’s also away from the bustle, on cozy, quiet streets and a bit closer to the city centre. There’s a metro nearby and lots of good shops for food and shopping. Zara and H&M, for example, were less crowded than in the centre and opened earlier in the morning. I was allowed to leave my bags after checkout and go for a walk before heading to the airport, which was really convenient. I’ve just got home and wanted to write about this nice hotel. Thanks, it was a pleasure spending my vacation here. I really recommend it, good value for money!

It’s centrally located, and we had no trouble coming back to the hotel at night. The staff were nice and always available, though the corridors could get a bit noisy. This is a good place to stay in Milan and one of the cheapest options around Milano Centrale. It’s not pretty or fancy, but perfectly fine. You can buy water and snacks from a machine in the hall. The rooms were clean and had AC, a hair dryer, towels, toilet paper, and soap. The beds were comfortable and the sheets clean. Our shower door was a little broken, but we could still use it carefully.

For the price, I was really happy, it was better than I expected. I’d stay again, which is the real test for me. I spent one night in a single room, and it was clean, everything worked, and the staff were efficient and helpful. It didn’t turn out to be a fleapit. It’s a basic hotel near the main railway station, and there are plenty around, but this is one of the cheapest. There are tram routes nearby, along with stazione Centrale and buses to Bergamo and Malpensa airports.
