Hotel Nuovo Metrò

When my grandmother died, I cancelled my booking at the last minute, but they charged me anyway and still haven't refunded me. The staff seemed completely heartless, insensitive, and incompetent, as if money were all that mattered. Their lack of empathy left me absolutely shocked.

The breakfast was good and the WiFi worked well. The owner seemed nice and willing to sort out problems, but during my three nights nobody cleaned my room, and I had to ask for extra towels or napkins. After 1 a.m. the entrance is locked, so you have to ring the bell. I got scared coming back at 2 a.m. and couldn't work out how to get in until I spotted it. It was an okay deal, nothing bad overall.

The bed was comfortable, but the room smelled when we walked in, apparently because of a bathroom water drainage problem. The curtain was broken too, and the price didn't feel justified. Worst of all was the receptionist's scandalous behavior toward my fiancée when I wasn't there.

The metro is so close that I gave it three stars. Otherwise, it'd be two. The rooms are small and could be cleaner, the bidet was partly clogged, it took a while for the water to warm up, and we couldn't lock the door properly. Breakfast was okay, an Italian spread of packaged snacks and croissants. Tourist tax was €4 per person. Convenient for the metro, but I wouldn't recommend staying here.
