The room had weak or no WiFi, dark hallways and staircases, and no lift, despite what the online photos led us to expect. Inside, the mattress was awful, the sheets stained, the bathroom dirty and partly broken, and the room smelled strongly of smoke. The walls were old and peeling, the beds uncomfortable, the bathroom door wouldn’t close fully, and the water temperature kept changing. We’d already paid in full, but were asked at check-in for more money in service charges and taxes that hadn’t been disclosed. I wish I’d checked recent reviews first. It badly needs better hygiene, clearer pricing, and renovation. I won’t return.

We paid 45€ online for a double room, then had to hand over another 60€ on arrival, making it 105€ for the ugliest room I’ve ever seen. It was filthy and looked badly worn. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, there was no toilet paper, and no soap either. All night we could hear everything happening at reception through the thin walls. A horrible stay, and I can’t recommend it.

The 50 euro utility charge only showed up after booking, and the booking website didn’t show it. With a non-refundable reservation, you can get stuck paying it. If you book here, choose a refundable option and read the email all the way through. Please don’t book this hotel.

The room was tiny, with the bathroom and toilet together in a space around 2m x 2m. There was an unclear drawing on the room, and when we arrived it smelled bad. The bathroom door was basically a curtain. The entrance smelled bad too, and we had to pay separately for things on top of what we’d paid online. The woman at the desk said we couldn’t change our stay from two days to one. WiFi worked well downstairs but was poor on the top floor. We had to leave our keys at the desk when going out, which made me uneasy about privacy, and the counter lady was talking to someone while checking us in instead of taking the job seriously. Don’t bring children here. And if you don’t know Italian, getting directions in Milano may be hard: we asked 10 people and none spoke English. I don’t trust the 4 or 5 star reviews, they’re probably bought. Even the review form only offered good things when it asked how I’d describe the hotel.
