My friend and I got multiple bites during our stay, and it seemed like there might have been bed bugs. We couldn’t sleep properly and had to throw away clothes and personal belongings afterward so we wouldn’t risk bringing them home. Check-in was inconvenient too.

A simple but handy apartment hotel in a great spot, at a reasonable price. Loreto underground station is nearby, and Centrale, the main railway station, is about a 10-minute walk away. Guest parking is available. A few useful details: check-in is online, cleaning costs extra and is on demand, the laundry machines are on the underground floor, and there’s a supermarket 100 m away.

The apartment itself was clean and good, but the rest of the experience was unacceptable. I didn’t know check-in was online only, and after arriving late from the airport I couldn’t get inside. I spent the entire night outside calling and emailing, with no reply until 9 AM. Booking.com couldn’t reach them or help either. The staff felt cold and unhelpful. When I asked to leave my bag at checkout, they sent me to a place 20 minutes away. By the time I got there, my suitcase wheels were broken. They also tried to charge €30 just to hold the bag a little longer.

The host came in without my consent, which felt like a violation of my privacy, and then falsely said everything was fine. The apartment was hot because the AC didn’t work, and it was unclean. It was also on the third floor with no elevator, and none of that had been clearly disclosed. Expedia sided with the host without a real investigation or support. Completely unacceptable from both the host and Expedia. Avoid at all costs.
