The kitchenette has an oven and microwave, and there’s free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Italianway Apartments - Canonica 34 is in Milan’s Sempione district, 500 m from Arena Civica. Sforzesco Castle is a 14-minute walk away, with Fiera Milano City 1.3 km away and Brera 1.4 km away. La Scala is 1.8 km from the apartment, and Milan Linate Airport is 9 km away. Sempione is a good area for architecture, culture, and food.

The location is handy, just steps from Sempione Park, and the TV works perfectly. Most of the rest was a mess: it was dirty, the sheets piled on the mezzanine seemed dirty, there was very little cutlery, and the air conditioning didn’t work. The bathroom sink was clogged and the shower leaked. The bed is very high and uncomfortable, and the living room window wouldn’t close, so there was no privacy. There was no dish soap, laundry detergent, sugar, salt, or coffee. They also charge an unspecified tourist tax when you collect the keys, about €3 per person per night. Even if your search says pets are allowed, call ahead. We were charged €50 for cleaning because we have a dog, ugh, plus a €200 security deposit. I wouldn’t recommend it.

It’s a pleasant apartment with good equipment. For two people, though, the mezzanine isn’t really usable. It mostly adds a bit of character.

Italian Way, the company renting these apartments, adds a €35 cleaning charge plus taxes. It makes the actual cost about twice as much.
