The beds were tiny, and the rooms smelled awful, like someone had been smoking in them. The shower was freezing for the first few days and had to be repaired. I had to stay there during MDW, and the whole experience was horrible. Never again!

The location is excellent, with every landmark nearby. Heating was a real problem, though. The air conditioner was the only heat source, and it took a while to warm the room.

The facilities were poor, but the location and staff were great. Cadorna Station is just a 20-second walk away, with plenty of restaurants nearby for everyday needs. The staff service was excellent, and there were always several people at reception during the day ready to help. We arrived in the morning and stored our luggage without a problem. We could hear people talking as they passed on the street, but it wasn’t loud enough to disturb our sleep. The room ventilation was the worst I’ve experienced in a hotel. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom or toilet, so unpleasant smells lingered, and leaving the bathroom door open wasn’t really an option. As others have mentioned, hot water is limited. We were a family of three, and when the first two people took long showers, the last person got cold water. The area around the kitchen was dim, so the portable lamp we brought from home was extremely useful. We stayed seven nights, and our linens were never changed. Maybe they would have changed them if we’d asked.

Cadorna Station is the main convenience here: it’s a one-minute walk away, with the airport express to MXP airport T1 & T2, and the Duomo is a 20-minute walk. The WiFi is free and decent. The room was clean and well equipped, with very cold A/C, but the bathroom had no window and was quite moldy. The shower drain should be cleared before the next guest arrives. We stayed on the ground floor, right by the elevator and escalator. Suitcases rolling past were very noisy, and we could also hear people walking, dropping things, and moving around upstairs. If noise bothers you, this may not be the right place for you. I’d read mixed reviews before booking and was a bit worried, but we were only there for one night before an early airport trip, so we gave it a try. I knew there was no reception and that certain arrival times could mean extra charges, so we went straight to the hotel after reaching Milan. It can work well for a short stay with transport connections at Cadorna Station. If you arrive late, be aware of possible extra fees or no one being available to check you in. Booking somewhere else might save you trouble.
