Porta Romana was a lively neighborhood, and we felt safe even late at night. We had a relaxing, romantic weekend here after ending up in places like CityLife or San Siro on earlier visits, which didn’t compare. The metro is only a few hundred meters away, and the Duomo is three stops from there. There’s also a handy nearby private car park with good rates, where you can leave the car for your whole stay. The apartment is spacious and new, in a beautiful building, with very soft bedding and great toiletries. The facade is being renovated right now, though in summer you can enjoy the view from the big terrace with tables and chairs. Inside, the coffee machine, washing machine, dishwasher, and other kitchen appliances make it comfortable for a longer stay too. The furnishings are colorful and thoughtful, and there are lovely books we enjoyed looking through and reading. There’s a breakfast bar, pizzeria, Brazilian restaurant, all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant, and supermarket just a few meters away. Carlo was extremely kind and clear with his instructions. We’ll gladly come back.
