The people working there were genuinely kind and helpful. My room was small and basic, but comfortable. It’s very close to the railway station, though, so there’s a lot of train noise, especially at night with the window open.

It’s inexpensive and close to the train and tram, but the bathroom ceiling was covered in mold. Breakfast was very basic, though cheap, and not all the staff spoke fluent English.

The owners were easy to reach for directions and suggestions, and had maps and brochures about places to visit and useful things like parking. There’s plenty of space nearby, although street parking right outside is limited. The property is only a few meters from the pedestrian underpass to the Milano-Certosa station, so trains and trams are easy to get to. Being so close to the station might bother very light sleepers, but it didn’t affect me. My room was well kept and had its own bathroom. Breakfast was good, and the staff were kind and very helpful.

The price is acceptable if you’re traveling for work, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Breakfast was plentiful, though you can only have it if you’re able to get up late, since the owner isn’t there before eight. The rooms were clean but small. My bed was uncomfortable and creaked so much that I slept badly. With Certosa station right behind the building, it felt like trains were going straight through the room. There were ants in it, too.
