La Locanda Del Pino

Locanda del Pino made every minute of my stay lovely. The host is so nice, always around for a chat or to help, the room was cleaned daily, and the atmosphere was cozy. It’s right in the middle of Milan. I’ve visited this beautiful city quite a few times, and next time I’ll first check whether Locanda del Pino has a room.

I’ll keep choosing this place for trips to Milano. It’s quiet and comfortable, with amazing customer service, and even the single room had a big bed, which is rare in Italy. From Linate airport, it’s about 20 minutes by Metro to the Venezia stop in the center. Piazza San Babila and Duomo are walkable from there. Grazie.

The breakfast was tasty and really good, with some savory options offered too. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and gave us all sorts of tips for our short Milan trip. I’d highly recommend it for a couple of nights. Thank you!

Because the house sits at the back of a courtyard, the rooms are very quiet. We didn’t hear traffic horns or people leaving a bar at 2am. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and pretty good overall, and the owner is friendly and accommodating. A couple of things could be better. The Italian-style shower looks nice but the water pressure is a little weak, so washing long hair can take longer. We may just have been unlucky with our air conditioning, since ours kept blowing hot air despite the setting. We turned it off and opened a window instead. Breakfast is quite good, with eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese, cereal, fruit, croissants, yogurt, and the usual orange juice, milk, tea, and coffee. Porta Venezia metro station is very close, three stops from central Milan and the Duomo. The central train station is around 15-20 minutes away, or about five minutes by taxi for 10 euros.
