Hotel Losanna

The breakfast was a favorite: eggs boiled or fried, sausages, vegetables, tasty pastries, and really fresh fruit, along with the cold options. The rooms aren’t luxurious, but they were very clean and had good mattresses. The purple metro line is very close, and the air conditioning worked great in July. Special thanks to Ludmila at reception, who helped with invoices and gave us good advice on other places worth visiting. I’d definitely like to stay again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is close to everything. Breakfast could have been better, but we had a pleasant visit and I’d stay here again.

The room started out clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed, and check-in went well. Then we had the worst night ever. At 3 am, we were jolted awake by extremely loud banging that sounded like someone wrecking the place. It went on for about 20 minutes. Once it stopped, we managed to fall asleep, only to be woken by the same noise again at 6 am. I went to reception and asked what was going on. A guy with very basic English said, completely nonchalantly, that he was taking something into the hotel and then back out. We slept no more than four hours. The panic, the heat, and the exhaustion ruined our chance to enjoy Milan and our holiday. I feel 100% robbed and deserve a refund for the worst night I’ve had in the last decade. The walls are paper thin, so you hear the next room’s TV or someone coughing as if it’s right beside you. The rooms are extremely hot, with no way to cool them down. I travel a lot and have been able to be patient with all kinds of hotel problems around the world when there’s context, but this was awful.

The service was good, there’s a sort of bar at reception, and breakfast was better than I expected. It’s a basic but adequate budget hotel, conveniently close to local metro stops. The room was too hot, though, with no real way to cool it down.
