I picked it for a one-night stop because it’s convenient for the train station, about 20 minutes away by bus. The stay was pleasant and matched what I expected.

The location worked for me because I needed to catch an early train, though it may not be ideal for tourists. Check-in went perfectly, and the person at reception was very kind. The room itself was the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom was dirty, with hair and dirt on the floor, walls, and sink. It was noisy all night: ventilation outside the window kept running, even with the window closed, and I could hear a neighbor moaning, people using the bathroom, and music and conversation from other rooms. This was on a Sunday night. It wasn’t expensive, but I’d rather pay more than have no sleep and a dirty bathroom.

A handy, affordable spot in a convenient location for one night. The rooms had what I needed, and the staff were really nice. The hotel may be a bit dated, though.

As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel safe around here, especially going to and from Loreto Metro. It’s only about ten minutes away on the map and has useful lines for the sights, but the area felt very deprived. Via Padova was the worst for me, with groups of men hanging around who kept trying to stop and talk to me. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe there. If you’re coming here alone, there’s another road to the metro that felt a little safer. The security at the building worried me too. One morning I left my room and found the main door standing open to the street, with a man I didn’t know inside. He asked for help finding somewhere to stay. I pointed him toward reception, but when he said he had no money and wanted to come with me to an ATM, I panicked, said no, and walked off quickly. He shouted after me down the road. I booked this on the spur of the moment for a solo trip. My room was in the other building across the road, and I was pleasantly surprised when I first saw it. It was clean, the bed was comfy, the pillows felt good quality, and the shower pressure was great. There’s no view, which is fine for the price. But the air conditioning didn’t seem to work, the hairdryer only ran for a few seconds before cutting out for hours, and one morning there was no hot water. I took a cold shower and got on with my busy day. The curtains didn’t cover all the windows, so the room got bright as soon as the sun came up, which made it hard to sleep since I’m used to a dark room. Noise was another big problem. The street was right outside, so traffic noise is hard to blame on the hotel, but I don’t think every unit in the building is a hotel room. Some residents seemed not to care about people sleeping. On Sunday night, people came in at 4 a.m. blasting music. It happened repeatedly, and the walls seemed thin, so I struggled to get proper rest. Solo travelers should read up on the location before booking.

For the price, this is an awesome place to stay in Milano. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and great value. There are lots of restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. I can only recommend it.
