Meininger Milano Garibaldi

This was my second MEININGER location in Milano, and they’ve been reliable both times. The rooms are roomy, with just four guests, and it’s the cleanest hostel I’ve stayed in. The 24-hour reception staff are friendly, the lobby is pleasant, and the price is about as low as you’ll find around here. No surprise so many people choose it.

The staff were so welcoming at Meninger, and Leonardo was especially helpful. We ran into a problem in the middle of the night, and he kindly sorted it out for us. The property itself is beautiful, with modern finishes and lovely, spacious areas. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Milan who wants a good place at an affordable price.

I had a bed in a four-person dorm for two nights, and this is easily one of the top five hostels I’ve visited. Everything was clean, and towels and wash gel were included. I assume those were already covered in the main bill, but they were worth it. The nearest metro is about a six-minute walk away. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

I stayed a few days and thought the price made it a reasonable option. It’s a big hostel with lots of group travellers, and I mostly walked to Bosco Verticale and the newer CityLife shopping district. Getting to the Duomo means changing metros. The area feels residential and has fewer shops, though there are some nice cafés nearby. The ground floor lobby is spacious and comfortable, the croissants at breakfast were tasty, and it’s not too far from the station. Daily cleaning and bed-making were done really well. The railway noise others mention was an issue for me because my room faced the tracks. Light sleepers might struggle. Since the building is one long block, rooms on the other side may be quieter, though I guess it comes down to luck.
