The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and I’d happily stay at Monocase Milano again on my next trip to Milan. Getting around was easy, with Metro, Tram and taxi stops nearby and plenty of places within walking distance. Our apartment was beautiful and spacious. They cleaned it daily, changed the sheets and left fresh towels. They even offered free laundry service. We had a superb stay.

The location was a 10/10 for me, between the tourist area and the local Italian neighborhood, with some neat restaurants around. The apartment was super cute and had everything I needed, especially a well-functioning kitchen, fridge, microwave and espresso machine. I stayed for three weeks and felt lucky to find this place. The manager, Tatiana, was helpful and responsive from booking through departure, and she speaks great English. The housekeeping staff do too. When I arrived, she surprised me with a big welcome basket of treats, which felt really kind and personal. They cleaned the apartment every day and brought fresh towels. There was free laundry service, plus cookies and breakfast that I enjoyed every morning. I wouldn’t look anywhere else if I return to Milan.

The bathroom was a standout for me. It’s large and modern, with a wonderfully spacious shower, and was stocked with soap, shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, slippers, plush towels and a powerful hairdryer with an easy cord. Everything was set up to make getting ready pleasant. I was only in Milan for two nights, breaking up the train journey from my home in Italy to Lecce in Puglia. I have dual citizenship and became a permanent resident of Italy in January 2019. Monocase Milano, an independent residence in the heart of the city, turned out to be a great find. The secure entrance from the street leads into an enclosed courtyard, and the apartment has its own entrance. It felt more like a little house, and was quiet at night despite being just yards from the busy city. I liked the feeling of being a resident there. The apartment is about a 10 minute walk from Piazza del Duomo. Corso Porta Vittoria has shops, bars and restaurants, and it’s also a transit hub, with connections across Milan right outside. Good markets are nearby too. I often choose apartments for longer trips so I can cook, and this one was clean, spacious and well equipped. The modern kitchen had a pod coffee machine and pods, cereal, preserves, snacks, water and juices, as well as dishes, silverware, pots, pans and basic cleaning supplies. I could have stocked it quickly for a longer stay. The bedroom and living area have classic tile flooring and a huge window for daytime light, with curtains for privacy at night. There’s a comfortable divan, a roomy freestanding closet and plenty of well-placed lights for working or relaxing. The wall-mounted LCD TV swivels toward the divan or bed, or folds against the wall. Cable was included, and Netflix was already set up, so I could sign in to my own account. The comfortable bed was a nice place to watch a film after a busy day. I’d recommend Monocase to both first-time and frequent visitors, whether staying briefly or longer. It’s comfortable, convenient and secure, and affordable.

Tatiana was a wonderful host, always ready to help and patient with us. We had everything we needed, and they replenished things like water and biscuits and changed the towels every day. The place is easy to recommend. Duomo di Milano is about a 15 minute walk away. Thanks so much for everything!
