The beds were the one thing that really annoyed me. They slide away from the wall on that floor, so you can’t sit and read without the bed moving. Fix that and this would be a very good choice. The staff are perfect and friendly, and the price is proportionate. The location is the hotel’s best feature. Tre Torri metro stop is about 7 minutes away, next to a big shopping center with shops and Carredourom, where you can buy water, wine, or food for the best money. There’s lots of fast food there too. Tram 1 is nearby as well, and goes to the center or straight to Brera. There’s a beautiful park close by, and 15 minutes from the Hotel Casa Sempieone are several interesting restaurants, including places where you can get a great drink like campari spritz for € 12. Al Mercante in Fiera is right next to the hotel. For the price I got, during the most desirable week in Milena on iSaloni, I was very satisfied. The hotel’s weakest area is the corridors, with old paint on the walls and worn carpets. The rooms are much better. My mattress was perfect, nice and firm, and I slept very well. There were enough power outlets too, which isn’t a given even in expensive hotels. Breakfast is a bit of a game. At eight you might find ham and salami, but by 9:30 there may only be cheese. The yoghurts are awful, very plastic tasting. Coffee was funny too, because a very nice boy had to restart the machine for every cup. You won’t be delighted by breakfast, but you won’t starve either. If you just want a place to sleep, you can overlook the carpets.
