My Bed Colonne

Ask for a room facing Basilica di San Lorenzo, it's a beautiful building. The hotel is an easy walk to Naviglio and Porta Ticinese, and Duomo is about ten minutes away. There's also a tram stop two minutes from the door. Our room wasn't huge, but it was spacious enough and super clean. The staff were really, really friendly.

We ended up finding another hotel nearby and got back only 25% of what we paid for our two nights. Nobody apologized or helped us find a new place or call a taxi. My repeated requests for a room change went nowhere. At reception, I was told Wednesday noise was normal because of a student party downstairs, and they didn't seem concerned at all. The room was literally above a nightclub, on the first floor. People smoked, shouted, and even fought right below our window. Club noise went on until 3 a.m., then trams started passing every five minutes from 5 a.m. I've stayed in central Milan hotels with trams outside that had good sound insulation, but My Bed Hotel apparently hadn't invested in it. I'm not a light sleeper and usually have no trouble sleeping, but this was the noisiest hotel I've ever experienced in ten years of traveling around the world for 7-10 days a month. It was my sixth Milan visit, and I've never had anything this bad. The hotel was very clean, but that's about the only positive. If you want to enjoy Milan and get any sleep, avoid it. This is the first time I've left a bad hotel review or complained like this. The worst place ever.

Paola was professional, friendly, and incredibly flexible. The room was cleaned remarkably well and to a standard that felt right for the situation. The location was wonderful, and the service was first class during such a difficult time. Thanks so much, especially when traveling is becoming a challenge. I think I'll be back soon.

The room advertised for its view doesn't offer much beyond the view itself, and there's not much to the decor. Its bathroom is outside the room, which can be annoying sometimes. Still, the place is very clean, the staff are helpful and share all the information you need, and the location is excellent, with everything within a ten-minute walk.
