MYSWEETPLACE - Corso Como Apartments

The apartment was spacious, very clean, and had more than we needed. It was also pretty cheap for the location, so I’d definitely recommend it. There were parties going on outside during our two nights, Friday and Saturday, but my friends and I slept peacefully and didn’t hear anything. I guess it depends on which apartment you’re assigned, since some may be more exposed to the noise.

The location is amazing and the place itself is great, but the noise has made it impossible to sleep. I’m writing this at 4 am on Friday, after my second sleepless night. There’s a nightclub and a couple of bars next door, and they play music far too loudly until 5 in the morning, even on weekdays. The worst seems to be the one with a back door opening onto the hotel’s courtyard. The hotel should provide earplugs or find some way to reduce the noise.

You can get to just about everything from this room. Coffee, ice cream, food, bars, and a bakery are all nearby, along with a central metro station and a tram just a two-minute walk away. The instructions were clear, check-in was easy, and they replied straight away whenever I messaged. The room had everything I needed, including coffee, a microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, shampoo, washing machine, and dishwasher. I felt a little insecure because there were no stairs near me, but the elevator worked very well. A small renovation outside, on the balconies, would bring the place close to perfect. I’d choose it again. For me, this is the best room location in all of Milan!

The apartment had several problems once we got in. We’d specifically asked for the Via Carlo Freguglia place to be set up for four, but two people had no towels or sheets, and the sofa bed we’d requested hadn’t been made. When we opened it, the mattress and cushions were dirty. The booking employee arranged for staff to come after about 40 minutes, and they arrived roughly 40 minutes after that to make the bed and bring towels. They were kind about it. There was only one 500ml bottle of water for four people, though the cleaning staff kindly brought another. The shower enclosure was broken and out of alignment, some bedroom outlets didn’t work, and a used, dirty dish sponge had been left there. We also had trouble before the stay. Our email asking about apartment details got only an automatic reply. We called the call center, which answered from 10:00 AM to 11:10 AM and gave us another representative’s number. We had to try several times before that person responded. We couldn’t move check-in to the morning, so arrived in the afternoon. Our first disappointing experience with MyPlace. Sorry and disappointed.
