I’m sorry, but this was my experience. The receptionist was rude and condescending, especially toward us as Asians. She was about 150 cm tall with blonde hair. She spoke to us in her local dialect in an unfriendly way, and I felt she was saying something unpleasant. I’d booked for two people, but our little one came along too. She wanted us to pay the full price for our daughter, even though she didn’t use an extra bed or have breakfast. I could understand that it might be hotel policy, even if it seemed unfair, but the way she treated us was disrespectful. She threatened to call the police, although we weren’t protesting or doing anything wrong. I found that disgusting. She told me to get my daughter’s passport, so I fetched it from the car. Then she ran out of the hotel yelling at me and my daughter that she would call the police. It’s disgraceful to have staff like this in your organization. She charged us an extra €30 for my daughter, the full adult price, despite her not getting an extra bed or breakfast. After we paid, she said she’d email a receipt. We still haven’t received one. Where did the extra €30 I paid go? I’ll never book this hotel again.

We had a great stay, with impeccable service at a very fair price. Thanks so much. We’ll choose this hotel again when we’re back in Milan. Arrivederci!

Everything was perfect apart from the thin door to the room, which let us hear people talking in the stairwell. The rooms themselves were very nice, and the staff were friendly. They also kept our luggage for the whole day after checkout.

We’ve stayed at Villino more than twice a year for over two years, and every visit has been fantastic. The rooms have always been perfectly clean. The staff are genuinely welcoming and willing to work around our particular needs and requests. The manager and team have been helpful, available, and professional every time, with real diligence and a strong focus on looking after customers. Even when an unexpected delay came up on our trip to Milan, they went out of their way to help us get checked in.
