For one night before flying home, this worked well for me. It cost less than the other hotels and Airbnb’s, and I felt safe in a clean room. The people at the desk were nice, and there were several good places to charge my devices. The bed seemed larger than a twin but smaller than a full, I think, though there was enough space to turn over comfortably. After spending the previous six nights on a tour in luxury hotels, this felt like a small step down, even though I was still quite comfortable. The toilet had an unusual shape and gave me a slight feeling of falling in, which was odd but not a big deal. The shower setup was elaborate. I didn’t try the jacuzzi jets and just used the showerhead.

The spa at the hotel is definitely worth a visit. There are also a few restaurants nearby, which was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and the service was great. The tram and bus stop is a 5-10 minute walk away, with a ride straight into the city.

The fresh breakfast had quite a few choices, including meat, breads, rolls and preserves. The bed was good, and when I had my clothes washed once, the service was excellent and reasonably priced. I stayed at Hotel Mi for 10 days, and parts of the experience were pleasant. There were serious drawbacks, though. My room was very small and the bathroom tiny, with a cramped toilet and a door that wouldn’t close. The main showerhead didn’t work, and mentioning it twice didn’t get it fixed. The air conditioning failed at times, leaving me with at least three hot nights without cooling. Milan can get very hot, so that alone might make me consider another hotel next time. There were lots of mosquitoes, apparently attracted by the small canal nearby. The food was only okay, and I couldn’t recommend the hotel restaurant because of the bites. Service varied by time of day and luck, from great to something like “don’t bother me right now.”

The shower was okay, and there are shops nearby. A tram stop close to the hotel goes straight to a spot next to the Duomo. The stay itself was okay, apart from getting covered in mosquito bites, and the air conditioning in the rooms didn’t work. A heads up if you don’t speak Italian: only one person speaks English. If they’re off shift, the others get very angry when you say you don’t understand them.

There’s a nice spa and the hotel was reasonably clean, though breakfast was minimal. Some of the reception staff were welcoming. The location is quite far from the city centre, with not much to do in the surrounding neighborhood.
