Novotel Milano Linate Aeroporto

We had a great stay at Novotel Milano Linate Aeroporto. The bed was really comfortable, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and happy to help. Someone who spoke English was always available, so we had no language trouble. It was handy for both the airport and Santagiulia Arena, which you can reach on foot. The tram and bus stop nearby take you into central Milan and stop right by Piazza del Duomo, the city’s main piazza. The Wi-Fi was unreliable at times. I also would’ve liked more bathroom toiletries, like hair conditioner and body lotion.

Roberta made things much easier for our group. Her guidance was quick and helpful, so we got through registration smoothly and without stress. We’re grateful for her professionalism and warm manner, and for the hotel’s hospitality and good service. It was a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was disappointing, with a limited choice and food that was only lukewarm. At £30, it didn’t feel worth the money. Dinner was a letdown too. The asparagus we ordered was very basic for £22. We were also charged tourist tax each day, which felt excessive and poor value. I’ll follow this up through Booking.com. We were travelling with a baby and had requested a cot in advance, but it never arrived. Room cleanliness was below an acceptable standard, with dust behind the bed sheets and around the desks. Service was poor from the start, and several staff members seemed rude and unprofessional. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. I wouldn’t come back.

Getting there from Linate airport was easy. The airport shuttle wasn’t running during the Olympics, so we took the M4 metro line and then Tram 27, followed by a short walk. It’s far from the city centre, but Tram 27 gets you to the Duomo in about 30 minutes. We liked the food at the restaurant, and the restaurant staff were friendly and gave very good service. Front desk staff were helpful with our questions too. The rooms were nice, though the bathroom could use an update. It was still comfortable enough, and we’d stay again once prices settle after the Olympics.
