The staff were friendly, and breakfast was good, especially the cappuccinos. After a day of sightseeing, the pool and sauna were relaxing. Rooms are a decent size, spacious by European hotel standards, but the street-facing ones get loud, with street sweepers going by every night. The decor is garish and bizarre.

The food was delicious, and the chef seemed to take care of every need. Her dishes really sing on the plate. The location is excellent and the staff are friendly. We enjoyed most of our stay at the very modern Boscolo Hotel, but the housekeeping needs retraining. There were no washcloths in the room, and after I called to ask for them, the dirty ones still weren't replaced the next day. The room coffee was instant, yuck, and the shower grout was very dirty. Those things could be fixed with better housekeeping training.

The rooftop deck and restaurant were amazing, with the best view of the Duomo for a cocktail. The room was clean, the hotel well maintained, and the staff were fantastic, especially the doormen. I had a great stay overall, on par with a Marriott anywhere in the world. My one issue was a misunderstanding about breakfast: agreeing to a discounted breakfast at check-in meant paying for it every day. I didn't eat there at all, but still paid 30 euros a day for all 7 days. Ouch!

The spa is the best! The location is perfect and the customer service excellent. Every room or suite I've stayed in has been beautiful and immaculate, with amazing toiletries and showers. The breakfast and the views are amazing too. One of my favorite hotels anywhere in the world!
