Piranesi 246

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Piranesi 246 Milano. Lili welcomed us warmly and made check-in really easy, with thoughtful attention that helped us feel comfortable throughout. We also appreciated the free parking and her kind offer of a two-hour late checkout. Both the accommodation and our host were fantastic, and I'd happily recommend the place.

DO NOT STAY HERE, WE FELT COMPLETELY UNSAFE My friend and I booked piranesi 246 from 1st September to 6th September 2024 because the reviews looked good. On the evening of 4th September, we left our room at 8:46pm. We have a photo showing the time, and we remember checking that the door had locked before heading out. When we got back at 12:23am, the room door was wide open, held against the magnetic door stop, and all the lights were off. We were young women on our first holiday together that year, in a country we didn't know, and were terrified someone might have taken our things or could still be hiding inside. We went down to find the concierge, who seemed unaware of what had happened. He said he'd seen on CCTV that the door was open about 20 minutes before we returned, at around 12:30am. When I asked who had entered, he said he didn't know. He came back upstairs with us and stood in the room while we checked it. I quickly looked under the beds and in the wardrobes for anyone hiding, but found no one. The concierge was no help, and we received no apology for the apparent lack of room security. He even asked if we'd left the door open, though we are completely sure we hadn't: we remember closing it, checking it, and then taking the lift. We asked to see CCTV footage of whoever had gone into the room, but he said he'd show us the next day. We were too scared to stay. There was a keyhole on the outside of the door, and we'd been given a key fob, so we worried anyone with a key might get in at night. Our parents advised us to pack and find another hotel. At 3am, with few options available, we paid €605 for two nights at a hotel closer to central Milan. We had already spent about two hours walking the streets of Milan. That didn't feel safe either, but still felt safer than staying at piranesi 246 for another two nights. I've since contacted the hotel and told them the police are involved. The past two hours were wasted in this beautiful city as we had to translate back and forth with the authorities. After I contacted piranesi 246 through booking.com, they cancelled my booking, making it look as if I had never stayed there, and charged me a cancellation fee too. Thankfully, booking.com is now addressing the issue.

I've stayed in a lot of places for work and for fun, and I love this one. It feels cool, modern, and very Milan. The rooms, facilities, and staff all went beyond what I expected, and the vibe made me feel like a local. I'd highly recommend it.

Getting around is easy, with tram and metro stops very close by. I also liked the rooftop pool: it was cool during the sunniest hours, just right for cooling off on the deck, and seemed to warm up as the evening came on. The apartment was clean each day, including the dishes, and the rooms felt fresh and up to standard. There's a small breakfast included, with cereal, milk, different jams, and bottled water. The little gym is fine, and has a Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music. The bed was very hard, and the AC runs automatically, so I couldn't switch it on or off or adjust it myself. Still, it's a nice place for the price, and I'd stay again if I went to milan.
