QUO Milano - Hostel

We had a great time. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook, and towels are included. Our room and the shared spaces, bathrooms included, were always clean. They also give you a drink voucher for the bar connected to reception, but fortunately you can't hear bar noise from the hostel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived an hour before check-in and really appreciated that our room was already ready. The location is handy, a few minutes from tram stops and around 20 minutes from the Duomo. The only drawback is that there's no lift, so you'll need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Otherwise, I definitely recommend it.

The location is nice and well connected for the price. The Duomo area is about 25 minutes on foot or 15 by tram. Common areas and kitchen are well equipped, the bedrooms are fairly comfortable and have individual curtains, though the lockers are small. Free towels and luggage storage were a nice touch, and most of the staff were friendly and great. It didn't feel very secure, though. The room door lock was broken, so it only needed a manual key rather than a key card, and nobody bothered locking it. Anyone could also enter the hostel and reach the stairway and bedroom corridor without a key card. The bathrooms weren't very clean and there didn't seem to be enough for the number of guests. One somewhat older staff member was rude and unwilling to help, which brought the place down a bit. As a foreigner, I didn't find it very social. The bar seemed to be mostly local students, and I understand the building is also student accommodation. It'd be nice if the hostel put on its own events alongside the ones hosted by the bar.

I only stayed one night, but loved the place. The bedroom and bathroom were super clean, and having a bar there is a plus. The staff are so attentive and kind. Special thanks to Flavia, who carried my suitcase up the stairs while wearing heels! Thanks again, I'll be back.

Their website makes it hard to tell whether a booking is refundable, and booking through other sites costs more. It feels like an easy way to take people's money without providing a service. The owner's attitude made it worse. They didn't try to help with the mistake, just took the money without providing the service, like a trap.
