Michael, the manager, was a wonderful host, very welcoming and helpful. We’ve been travelling in Europe for over a month, and Italy was our 4th country. Residenza delle Citta is one of the best properties we've stayed at to date. It'll be hard to beat, and we're exceptionality satisfied with the quality. Highly recommended. It's about 600m from Milano Centrale train station. We were unexpectedly upgraded from a superior studio to an executive apartment, with parquet flooring, marble bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchenette: induction cooktops, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, and kitchenware. The Simmons mattress was super comfortable, with a soft pillow-top and quality linen. There was plenty of cupboard space. The enclosed shower had excellent water temperature and pressure, but drained very slowly, so the stall flooded quite quickly. Culti Milano Aramara shower gel, shampoo, and hand wash were provided. You can also buy them for €16 each, along with other items. Reception has a communal water machine with unlimited still, cold, or sparkling water, plus a coffee pod machine available 24hr. There was tea as well, and complimentary croissants for guests every morning. There's a well equipped gym in the basement, but we didn't use it, so I can't say more. The best part was the 24hr laundry in the basement. Miele washers and dryers cost €3 each, detergent is provided, and the washer holds 6.5kg. The Miele dryer uses an intelligent residual moisture sensor system to monitor laundry's electrical conductivity and tell when it's dry, so you don't need to pay more than once. It may take longer than the usual 20min at a commercial laundromat. Michael was extremely patient and did his very best to accommodate some very difficult, demanding, and rude guests.
