The room was large and clean, with a large bathroom and plenty of amenities: good Wi-Fi, a safe, slippers, water, snacks, tea, and coffee. The supplies were replenished the next day too. It overlooked a busy street with a tram line, and the hotel-provided earplugs came in handy, though it didn’t seem too loud. The windows had no insect screens, which was annoying because several mosquitos flew in whenever we opened them. That’s common in Europe, though. There’s no lobby, but we could leave our luggage with them for several hours after checkout. The location is fantastic, right by Duomo and near a metro station and tram stop. Communication with the host was good. We arrived after official check-in time because of a late flight, and someone came quickly to check us in.

I can't recommend this place. During my family's stay, an expensive pair of sunglasses worth $150 disappeared from our luggage while it was in the hotel's possession. They were in a zipped pocket inside a hard-cased suitcase. They couldn't have fallen out, and I'm 100% certain they were there because I put them in last before closing the suitcase. The luggage was in the hotel's possession the whole time, and the glasses were gone as soon as it was returned. I'm certain someone on staff took them. The hotel's luggage arrangement gave staff the chance to access our belongings without being noticed. After checkout, when we asked to store our bags, staff told us to leave them in our room, leave the key on the bed, and close the door. They would then take the luggage to another hotel for storage until we needed it. Anyone on staff could go into the room, where there were no cameras or security, with no chance of the owners returning because we'd left the key behind, and take their time going through guests' things. I've travelled a lot and don't make theft accusations lightly. This is the first time hotel staff have stolen something from me, and I'm 100% certain. I can't recommend this business.

The staff were helpful, the hotel and room were very clean, and I felt comfortable and happy the whole time. For what we got, the price was great, and I’d definitely stay again if I return to Milan. We were there for a few nights, close to the Duomo and within walking distance of most places. The entrance is in an alley above KFC. Someone greeted us downstairs to make sure we got to our room. There’s a very small, old elevator, so I took the stairs, while the porter brought up our bags. They left a letter from the manager and arranged towels in a heart at the foot of the bed for our honeymoon. I noticed lots of thoughtful little touches: earplugs by the bed for possible tram noise, though noise didn’t bother me, and complimentary snacks and drinks that were restocked when the room was cleaned. I left some clothes near the closet, and the person who cleaned hung some up and folded the rest neatly in the closet. We got a small treat outside our door on the morning we left. I also loved having a heated towel rack in the bathroom.

The location is great for a day trip to central Duomo, very close to the Galleria, Cathedral, and shopping district. The staff were friendly, but the Canadian staff member who checked us out laughed at me after I got paint on my dress from his wet wall. It wasn’t signed or cordoned off, and I was less than impressed with his behavior. Even the painter, who couldn’t speak English, was nicer than he was.
