The only real plus was the central location, just a few minutes on foot from the ferry terminals for the Aeolian Islands. We stayed from July 22nd to 27th, and for around €60 a day for a couple, the place was a letdown. The rooms were small and basic, and cleanliness was practically nonexistent. Each morning they only made the bed, as if that counted as service. For the whole week, the bathroom was left as we'd left it, and the towels were never changed. The bathroom was worn down, with a dirty shower stall that was almost broken. You could shower only until late afternoon. In the evening there was no pressure, so no hot water. When we called, the owner blamed a technical intervention by the municipality. We thought the water lift motor might have been switched off, since everything was back to normal in the morning, but we can't be sure. Breakfast amounted to a coffee machine with pods. I wouldn't go back or recommend it. For the same price or a little more, you can find better places. I wasn't expecting anything special, just the bare minimum.

We had a great vacation here from July 10th to 13th, 2024. The owners were kind and discreet, and gave us useful information about mini cruises to the islands, along with a discount. The area was quiet, and the B&B is right in the city center, with restaurants, pizzerias, bars, and tobacconists all close by. It's about 100 meters from the port for island ferries and 100 meters from the seafront. The sea, with a fabulous free beach, is around 500/600 meters away. Parking is on blue lines with time slots, €5 in the morning from 8am-2pm and €5 in the evening from 2pm-8pm, or you can use scratch cards by the hour. Parking is free from 8pm to 8am. Good price, good owners, recommended 👍

I booked one night and found it good value. The staff were courteous and very helpful. They sorted out the minibus transfer from Catania Fontanarossa to Milazzo and even waited for my late-evening check-in. The only drawback was breakfast, which came with just coffee or tea. Recommended!

Breakfast had a bit of everything, though I'd go to the cafes for Sicilian treats. The rooms weren't especially large, and the bathroom water was slow and hard to mix, so I almost couldn't shower. The central location deserves four stars.

The location is perfect and the price works for couples, though it's too high for a solo traveler. The building feels a bit run-down and has no elevator. The room could use some basics, like heavy curtains since everyone's up at 6 a.m., and a bidet.
